Racing kicked up a notch
Mario Kart 8 is coming out for Wii U on May 30, 2014. This will feature the new anti-gravity feature as well as reusing some features from other games, such as Wii's bikes and 3DS's underwater mode and gliding. We have seen new trailers showing retro tracks like Yoshi Valley and Sherbet Land, as well as new tracks like Electrodome and Sunshine Airport. But the best thing we have seen is the announce of the Koopalings. That's right, Lemmy, Larry, Roy, Iggy, Morton, Ludwig, and Wendy will all be playable in the next game. We have had a whopping 27 characters confirmed for the game, and Nintendo says there are more to come. I first thought that there would be 32, but in order to stay with an even amount of weight class members, there could be 36. So here is a roster of my guess:

Everything is not awesome

Lego has provided us a new LEGO video game. Great, right? Well...no. This game seems PS2 era, where they can have a low number of characters and small hubs. Well, this is 2014, not 2006. LMV shows us that while LEGO has good things to offer us, not everything they make is a gem. First, the hubs are tiny. Sure there are many of them, but instead of being connected you have to go through a portal with a ridiculous loading times. Vehicles are not unlocked, and characters aren't great. In fact, some of them are EXACTLY THE SAME! Milhouse, Shaq, and Dumbledore are replaced with Emmet, Emmet, and Emmet. You can make 4 custom characters, and most pieces from the game aren't available. All cutscenes are taken from the movie, which seems incredibly lazy. So many slots are wasted with multiple Emmets. If you like Lego games, sure get it, but don't expect much.
